Closing out the regular season we had a matchup between the Bros and the Buddies with Bros looking to lock up the #1 seed for the second season in a row. Bros would be missing a key piece in Alan and Buddies would be shorthanded with Lane and Worth out. Brett was late showing up for Buddies so Ian Marlier subbed in.
Skelley open the scoring for the game on a putback but the first half was the Jet show as the veteran captain splashed two deep three balls and set the tone for his squad. Dunton and JMul also would get on the board for their teams and the game was tied at 12-12 half way through the first half. After a Jet heat check, Kielley and Stull would both hit threes and Etheridge was doing a great job driving to the rim and getting to the free throw line. Unfortunately Eth could not hit a free throw to save his life. Jet would close out the half with another three ball and Bros took a 27-21 lead into the break.
Coming out of the half, Eth continued to attack the rim, getting layups and floaters to fall and J Mul hit a three. Dunton continued to play well for Buddies, getting a three, a layup and a great no-look behind the head assist to Skelley. Kielley hit a layup and Dunton had six straight points as Buddies continued to make a fight, but once it seemed to get close, Etheridge killed the Buddies run by attacking the rim and hitting the offensively glass. Eth also did a good job of getting to the free throw line but continued to be an absolute brick, finishing 1-8 on free throws. Jet also had some nice layups and steals late and killed any remaining chance Buddies had for a comeback. Bros locked up the 1 seed and face Jimsanity in round 1. Buddies take a 7 seed and will face Goyle.
Bros
SMul B+ 14 boards and 4 blocks
Jet A great throwback game from the Jet with 25 points and 3 steals
Stull C hit 2 threes, but this came on 12 attempts
JMul B quiet but effective 10/10/4
Eth B+ did a good job controlling the pace of the game but 1-8 free throws is yuck
Buddies
Skelley A hustled hard and is my vote for MIP
Dunton A does all the little things and plays hard.
Brett C middling grade for showing up late
Kielley C some what of a quiet game when they needed him to take over.

7:55 Jimsanity VS Bros
No Murphy for Jimsanity , and J.Mul got cooking right away with 2 post hoops , Stull would add a 3 and they were up 7-2 early. Jet would grow the lead with a 3, J.Mul post 12-3. Matty nailes 3, Zeng slashing in, then more Zeng magic 17-16. Team would stay within 1-3 points as this was a very competitive back n forth game J.Mul and Matty leading the boys and at the break it was just 32-31.
Bros would finally be able to get some separation as Alan was hot from 3 it was 45-38. Hanks big 3, Matty and 1, they were inching closer. Randal was a MAN in this one, and he was getting nice driving hoops he had his boys within range 53-52. Then Big balls STull $ a bigtime 3, but Hanks showed he can hit 3’s as well tied up at 56. Then Jet as he did all day long hit the big capatain shot as the 3 was wet, he woud add a vet savy 3pts foul play and his boys survive 69-61.
Bros
J.Mul-B-) zero 2nd half points should not happen in this league.
S.Mul-A- efficient and deadly on the line
Jet-A+- great leadership,, that man clutch right der
Stull-B- Nailed a bigtime 3
Alan-C+- looked tired but hit 3’s in the 2nd half.
Jimsanity
Matty-C+- only 2 2nd half points
Hanks-C+- Hit a big 3, but had some chances to make big plays that didnt go his way
Randal-A- quietly having an icnredible session
Zeng-b-) Started hot, but fizzled a lil bit.

The primetime slot of Week 7 had a matchup between the Bros and Goyle. Bros were coming off their first loss of the season to EJ’s team last week and Goyle has been playing well and had a comeback win against my squad last week. Goyle had everyone in for what seemed to be the first time all season and Bros were missing JMul.
This game started off being all Bros with Etheridge playing particularly aggressively and getting to the rim and free throw line. Stull and Jet also hit some deep threes and Scott was keeping Goyle out of the paint and distributing the ball well. Goyle was not seeing anything fall and after an Alan 3, Bros had built a 17-5 lead. Bros could have built a bigger lead but were shooting poorly from the free throw line. This gave Goyle a chance to get ack in the game and Chas and Jake would both hit threes. Etheridge responded with 3 straight finishes at the rim. The offense dried up for Bros at this point and Goyle chipped away at the lead and Bros would head into halftime only up 4.
Goyle came out swinging from halftime, led by Jake who got off back to back lefty scoops. Alan, Scott and Eth went on a run for Bros which was ended by a Jake 3. Weinstein finally came alive in the second half, after only registering 4 points in the first half. After a few Weinstein midranges and Weinstein and Hull threes, Goyle had cut the lead to 1 with 8:30 to go. Jake would hit two more 3’s and Chas had a nice chasmanian devil steal to fast break layup and Goyle went up by 4 with 2 minutes remaining. Goyle would hit their free throws and, outside of an Etheridge floater, Bros would not score in the final 2 minutes. Goyle puts on an impressive comeback and moves into a first place tie at 5-2. Bros also sit at 5-2.
Bros
Etheridge B+ stuffed the stat sheet and played aggressively through pain, poor free throw shooting hurts the grade
SMul B+ got a double-double and hit a 3
Stull C didn’t get a lot of looks
Jet C- was outplayed by Chas
Alan C- mediocre game compared to last week
Goyle
Chas B+ awesome on the defensive end and had a bunch of assists
Weinstein B+ quiet first half but came alive in the clutch
Jake A great game 6/10 from three and led in scoring
Hull B+ limited minutes but hit a three and got a nice bucket
Jeffries C defense was good but o’fer from 3

Closing out Week 6 we had a matchup between the Bros and EJ’s Dirty Amir and the Boys.
Both teams are in the upper echelon of the league, as Bros came into this game undefeated, and DA&TB were sitting at 4-1. Bros would be missing Etheridge and DA would have everyone available. Cody started the scoring off for DA and Kap followed with a 3. Bros were pulling early and often from deep but were not able to connect. They would begin the game going 1-14 as a team, with Alan hitting their only 3-ball. Kap specifically played excellently in the first half, including 12 straight at one point. Kap was making a statement against the Mulhollands, grabbing steals, and getting to the free throw line on hard drives. Alan and Stull ended Kap’s run, and Amir nailed a 3. Alan would convert two more threes in the half, but DA would go into the with a 30-25 lead. Kap lead DA with 16 points and Alan led Bros with 14
Bros made a push to start the second half with Scott getting a tough bucket and Jet finally connecting on a 3. Frano kept the lead however, with two nice buckets of his own. Frano was having a nice game, grabbing 5 offensive rebounds in the second half alone, which is difficult to do against the Bros. JMul and Smul would tie the game again with back-to-back buckets and Kap would add another 3. Cody had a nice sequence in the 2nd half where he got a layup and then stole the ball at midcourt and leaked out and Kap found him for a back-breaking three. Kap continued to get to the line to extend the lead and Frano had a nice And-1 to close things out. Bros were never able to catch up and Kap put the game to bed at the free throw line. DA&TB end Bros undefeated streak and tie for first ppace in the standings at 5-1.
Bros
JMul B- had a tough time getting past Ben’s defense
SMul B was active on the glass and defensively, but his team could’ve used more points
Stull A shot efficiently from three Jet C- the three ball was rough, going 1-8
Alan C- also had a rough shooting night, failed to score in the second half.
EJ
Kap A three point percentage aside, Kap dominated this game
EJ D O-fer from three and not much else
Frano B+ double-double in the paint against the Mulhollands is a win
Amir B+ hit a nice 3 ball
Cody A hit shots, thats all he really needs to do for this team
Ben B+ limited JMul, though he ultimately fouled out
