This was a great game - a lot closer than the score suggested. Pat led the way for Corner 3 - scoring with ease early on. We did also see a dunk from Kyle - which was refreshing to see. But then the offense really slowed down for Corner 3. Meanwhile, Himmy Turner was shorthanded and didn't get going until late. Tony led the way with Gabe and Johnny O providing helpful contributions as well, but they did seem like they were missing their usual spark on offense. Thankfully for Himmy Turner, this didn't stop them as they pulled away late to get the win 57-46. 

We had a thrilling finish to the night in our final game as Corner 3 took on Thank You University. Final score was 41-40 as TYU took home the dub, but I have to say.... make your damn free throws! A team called Corner 3 only hit two threes on the night and got cursed mid game by KD. Nick, who is normally a great shooter and FT shooter, was 2-3 from the line when KD said something (not sure what he said but it looked funny) to Nick about free throws. From that point on.... Corner 3 shot 5-14 from the line and lost by 1. I am not a math major, but this is not good. It was such a good game too, and it of course ended with Corner 3 at the free throw line with a chance to tie and make everyone's night longer than it should have been. But the free throw rimmed out and the game ended 41-40. This was a great win for TYU as they had to grind and probably thought they had lost this game at one point. But they stuck together and made all the right plays down the stretch to go home with the win.

The last game of the night, and of a long week. This of course flirted with overtime! That is just how the final games tend to go, can't write it any better. Final score was 48-46 with Corner 3 taking home the victory. They were led by the veteran, Pat, who had 17 points, along with three clutch free throws down the stretch. This guy always comes to ball. Big man Aidan was a monster on the boards nad had the ugliest impersonation of Lonzo Ball's jumpshot, but you should have seen my face when he splashed back to back threes with no hesitation. Electric stuff. Graham added 5 steals to the tally that ended up being crucial turnovers for the Chupacabras. Chupacabres were mising arguably their best two players in JP and Shae. They still put up a great effort and almost won this game. Its a big win for Corner 3 and a game that the Chupacabras will look back on as one they could have won. Nevertheless, this was a great game for the neatrals to cap off a great night of ball.

Pretty good game in the first half, we had a cramp after the second play of the game lol. Tomahawks raced out to an early lead and held on until halftime thanks to their stellar defense. Corner Three never really got going in this one, they found themselves down 27-18 in the game and only scored 11 points in the 2nd half... 29 total points might be a new low that ive seen this year? Not sure. Tomahawks were led by Jimmy and the new guy Colin in this one. If they play defense like that they will have a very solid chance moving forward. 45-29 final score, not too much to write about in this one. Will look forward to seeing both of these teams have all of their players in the weeks coming.
