A starting 2-point lead to enter the game proved to be more than enough for The Lab to secure the win, 58-50.
With the 2 points due to Last Chance U not having jerseys, The Lab followed that up with a 13-0 run to start the game off on a high note. Nikko Atanasoff of LCU finally scores a bucket after 7 minutes of play have gone by, opening the game up to go TL’s way. To respond, LCU goes on a 1-11 run making it a 5-point game with 11 minutes left in the half. First half score, 27-18.
The second half started with a drought of TL’s own not being able to score for 6 minutes of the second half. Atanasoff passes between the legs to Wadda Salah Eldin to make it a 3-point game, 30-27. Unfortunately, the effort came short as The Lab ended up on top tonight punching their tickets to the playoff and sending LCU home for the season.

This last game was a clear case of don’t celebrate until the last buzzer buzzes as Thank You University secures the comeback over Last Chance U, 49-45.
LCU started the first half off with a strong 14-0 run in the 1st half after 6 minutes of no buckets from either side of the sheet. This 14-0 run was the difference at the half, 21-35.
TYU started the second half with a 7-0 run of their own. Caputo hits the triple to make it a 1-possession game, 34-37, forcing LCU to take a timeout to strategize. Greg Palazzo hits the bucket to tie at 40 with 7 minutes left. TYU continued to rally outscoring LCU 9-5 in the last 7 minutes to secure the comeback win.

Game hasn’t started yet and Unreliables are down two to nothing due to no CaC shirts and it’s week eight right? Nicco was a one man wrecking crew for Last Chance U looking like a cross between speedy Gonzalas and Jason Williams on steroids. The kid was nailing three back-to-back and it looked like they would run away with the game early but Mike and Eric of Unreliables had something to say about that. Unreliables are staying in the game do to their three-point shooting but needs to play better defense on Nicco if they are going to win this game. With neither team able to hold a lead we are going into the last eight minutes with Unreliable up by two and Last Chance needs a time out. Nicco yells from the bench how is Matt of Unreliables so wide open and Matt replies “Cause you Defense Sucks” Believe I heard a return response but it was low if and meaningless as they watch their lead get erased. Last Chance is falling apart in the last minutes of the game shooting terrible shots and letting Unreliable play with them on Offense. All you hear is get number four get number four but I don’t think anyone is listening at this point as this one is over and Unreliable close out Last Chance in the second half. This one was 37 to 34 Unreliables at half time.

The last game of the night was the complete opposite of the game previously played. Last Chance University had fun tonight with 3 players hitting double digits and Nikko Atanasoff making the first triple-double of the B2 5v5 Monday night league.
Not much really to say about this game other than even though there was such a lopsided score, the quality of the game and passing never deflated. WE HAVE FUN was trying until the very end. LCU ran away with the score in the second half while the first-half score was 24-27.
Everyone for LCU was making their shots, even Nana Adu who literally shot blind at one point as his glasses fell off. LCU also only picked up one foul through the entire game. Atanasoff was the clear MVP tonight with 34 points, 13 combined boards, and 12 assists.

Game time and we are down one ref and it seems to help Last Chance get off to a great start. Madda brought all the energy to start the game and they would need every point he made to stay in striking distance. Last Chance was getting killed on the boards by Gui who took down 6 offensive rebounds. Gino Time could put the ball in the hoop from beyond the three-point line, but they wouldn’t need it to beat Last Chance U tonight. Hard fouls by Wadda on Gui has everyone on the beach cringing wondering it Gui is hurt. Boards was the difference in Last Chance being in the lead or down as they were most of the game. Tibbs needs to stop giving out these shirts with only one number as it’s killing people’s stats but who cares about those???
