EZ VS Hell " 2nd half is WEIN time!!
Danner passed up a shot got it back nailed J 2-0. Butter 1-2, EJ nice hook 3-2. Hammond splashes 3, Kap 3 right back at him, Wein J, Kindal post, Murphy hook teams trading punches early. After some action a beautiful up n under by Hammond gave them the edge 13-8. Kap 3, EJ 3 after great hustle from Skelley they had the lead 14-13. Murphy gets 2 through contact, wein Middy 17-14. lead would stay to 4, but at the Buzzer Kindal took a tough contested 3 and it was $$ 27-25 at the break
Kap up n under of his own ties things at 27. Wein open 3 was good, murphy TD pass to Wein 32-27. Hell with nice run as Kindal was getting to the rack made it 32-31., but wein with another 3 ball. Skelley sets his feet lets a 3 go and it was goooooooooooooodddddddddddd 35-34. murphy beasts two more, Wein 2-2, but Butter, and Kap add bigtime and 1's for the lead 40-39. Wein finds his spot and it was $, Muphy 2-2, Randal 3 and that broke their backs as they were not able to recover from the run EZ wins 54-45.

Game three of week 8 was Dad Bod Elites taking on EJ’s Helldivers. Both teams are headed in opposite directions, as DBE came into this game losing their last two after starting the season 5-0. After a hellish, injury plagued start to the season, Helldivers have been rounding into form and came into this week winners of their last two. DBE was missing Etheridge, who has been playing at an MVP level this season and Helldivers were missing Butterworth.
Helldivers looked good to start things off, Kap had a tough and-1 and Ron was getting his spots off the dribble for midrange jumpers. DBE was getting buckets from Kielley, Glynn and Frano to keep the deficit manageable. Offense was at a premium early on as both teams were struggling to score. Helldivers maintained a single digit lead for the entirety of the first half despite some big threes from Glynn and Carey. EJ went into the half up 26-19.
Coming out the break Ej’s team continued to hold the lead. Kap and Skelley had the pick and roll game working and Skelley was controlling the glass. A three and bucket from Dias cut the lead to five. However, DBE continued to shoot themselves out of the game, and would finish out 4-28 from deep. Helldivers were not much better, but were doing enough on the defensive end to hang on to and eventually build on the lead. The lead would build to 10+ and EJ would walk away with their 2nd consecutive win and are looking strong heading towards the playoffs.
DBE
Frano D got thoroughly outplayed by Skelley
Sean B not a bad game overall
Dias C- the 10 boards are nice but a rough night shooting
Glynn C- had some nice stretches but spent a lot of time on the bench
Carey C would’ve liked a couple more threes to go down
Helldivers
Kap B solid game in all facets except the three ball
EJ C- did a lot of little things but very poor three point shooting
Ron A shot the ball well and played great defense
Skelley A+ one of the best games I have seen from Skelley, great defense and rebounded and finally some touch around the rim

Kicking off week 7 was a matchup between Chas’ Goyle Dawgs and Helldivers. Sitting at 3-3 Goyle has had some ups and downs this season and struggled to get to full attendance. Kodra would be missing once again this week. On the other side, EJ’s team has faced really bad luck with injuries to DP, Piasta and Kindle throughout the season. EJ would also be missing Ben Butterworth for this one.
Kindle and Kap were hot for Helldivers off the jump, Kap was getting to the basket and Kindle hit a three. EJ added another three and Helldivers were off to a blazing 14-3 run to start the game. Matty stopped the bleeding for Goyle by getting an and-1 off the dribble. He was looking to attack the basket throughout the game, which was just what Goyle needed to get back into it. After a Matty 3, Helldivers lead was down to 6. After a slow start, Jake started to heat up for Goyle and they continued to eat away at the leads until is was down to a 3 point game. Goyle would eventually tie, but a Kap three put Helldivers back on top. EJ’s squad went into the half up 24-22.
Jake and Kap traded buckets to start the 2nd half, Kap had a great and-1 and the score remained generally level. Chas started to heat up and got a layup and really deep 3 to land. Outside of Chas, Goyle was struggling from range and would end the game shooting just 3 or 16 from three. Kap had the answer, scoring 7 straight points for Helldivers. After another deep 3 from Chas his team was right back in it. At this point Chas had some constructive criticism for Parks and was hit with a technical. Kap would only make 1 of the free throws but it gave Helldivers a 6 point lead with 5 minutes left. Kindle had some key late buckets and Helldivers ran away with it and got a much needed late season win. They improve to 2-5 and Goyle slides to 3-4.
Goyle
Chas C- gave his team a spark in the second half but the tech was costly
Clarke D really quiet game for TC
Jake D the bar has been raised for Jake this season and this was an underwhelming performance
Ben C wasn’t out there all that much
Matty B+ solid outing, helped his team climb back in the game
Helldivers
Kap A near triple double. A beast on defense with 6 stocks
Skelley C missed so many layups!
Kindle A really nice showing from Ron. Midrange game looked nice
EJ C could’ve got some more threes to fall

Game three of week 6 featured Frongi’s talented yet underperforming Paisanos taking on EJ’s Helldivers. Helldivers have had a hellish season, plagued by injuries to DP, Piasta and Kindle and have managed their only win against Harry’s F-tier D-Graded. Since adding Kap, the team has looked better and has been in close games, but have yet to be able to string together some wins. Paisano’s only win also has come from beating Harry’s lowly squad and they have lost several close games and had some tough bounces. Both teams would be looking to build some momentum heading into the closing stages of the season. Frongi had everyone available and EJ had his 5 remaining players ready for action.
Both teams started the game with the foot on the gas, Skelley, Erik and Kap hitting for Helldivers and Casey leading the charge for Paisanos. The MVP favorite was hitting in the paint, from three and hit Lu with an absolute dime for a nice transition bucket. Paisanos continued their strong play early and held on to an 8 point lead. Led by a motivated Kap, Helldivers played aggressively on the offensive end, and closed out the half getting to the free throw line repeatedly, shooting a total of 10 free throws late in the half to even the score and go into the break tied at 27.
Coming out of the half Frongi and Casey were getting to the rim, but Kap and Ben answered with a pair of threes to keep things level. Kap found Erik on a dime for the first of his 4 second half threes. Casey notched 8 of Paisanos next 9 points and nearly midway through the half, the score was even. Frongi and Casey kept getting to the free throw line on drives and were converting there. A pivotal moment in the 2nd half came as Chao banked in a three ball and the momentum swung in Paisanos favor. Despite not getting the calls he was looking for, Kap would not denied and hit a halfcourt three to keep it a 4 point game with 5 minutes left. With less than 2 minutes left, EJ hit yet another big 3 and Kindle had a great midrange bucket and the game was tied at 58. Frongi converted one of 2 at the free throw line and Casey had a big steal, but it was Kindle yet again delivering a clutch bucket to put his team up one. After a timeout, Paisanos looked to Casey to win the game and he slashed through the defense to score at the rim and put his squad back up by 1 with 1 second on the clock. Lu made a heads up play to steal Helldiver’s ensuing inbound pass and seal the victory for Paisanos. Paisanos improve to 2-4 and Helldivers sit at 1-5 heading into week 7.
Paisanos
Casey A- dominated another game, slightly docking the grade for shooting 20% from 3
Lu B not a ton of stats but made a great defensive impact, especially in the clutch
Bohanker C+ did a great job getting to the free throw line, but need a few more boards from the big man
Peteet D don’t remember him playing much
Chao A hit a big three!
Frongi B did a little of everything, nice job getting to the rim and free throw line
Helldivers
Kap A got frustrated with the ref, but used it to play aggressively and ended with a huge stat line
EJ A dude was lights out from three
Ben C Ben could be more effective as a rebounded for this team
Skelley D I am a Skelley fan but he missed several easy lay ups after his teammate hit him with nice passes
Kindle B+ inefficient from three but looked good driving and hitting pull ups
