Never any doubt…
Coming into this game I had Too Small (TS) as 26 point favorites. Ultimately Court Crushers (CC) had nothing to play for. Technically TS didn’t either but since they had everyone in attendance and to make sure the game was somewhat competitive, they allowed CC to get whoever they wanted to fill-in. CC only had 3 rostered guys so Pat was allowed to fill in along with BigBoyRafiki (BBR). I hadn’t seen BigBoyRafiki play yet but there was rumblings of him being the # 1 pick for SDL next season so I was excited to see him play.
First half:
Early on BBR was nowhere to be seen so TS took complete advantage and was up 21-11 with 12:03 left in the half. The game remained within reach 31-21 with 5:37 left in the half but still no BBR. He did at some point show up in the first half but it didn’t really matter as TS was rolling up 45-31 at the end of the first half.
Halftime stats:
TS:
Djordje Vlajkovic 11 pts, 6 orebs, 8 drebs, 2 asts
Dan Waldman 6 pts, 2 orebs, 1 dreb, 2 fouls
Joseph Breda 5 pts, 1 orebs, 2 drebs, 2 asts
Nick Lynch 9 pts, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5 drebs, 2 asts
Jake Darby 2 pts, 1 dreb
Daniel Lyman 12 pts, 6 orebs, 3 drebs, 2 asts
CC:
Christopher Stull 9 pts, 1 oreb, 2 drebs
Charlie Maneval 18 pts, 1 stl, 2 fouls
Rob Lunder 2 pts, 1 oreb, 3 drebs, 6 asts
Patrick Blaikie “Fill-in” 2 pts, 2 drebs, 1 ast, 1 foul
BBR “Fill-in” 1 dreb
Player of the half:
Daniel Lyman
Second half:
The game itself was pretty trash in terms of being competitive. At the 14:06 mark TS was up 64-43. There were some things that I did like and was impressed by and made some moments in the game exciting but TS handled their business easily winning 92-74.
Player grades:
Djordje Vlajkovic A+ best all around game I’ve seen from him all season. He missed a couple of free throws but who cares he was really really good in this game.
Dan Waldman A+ he scored double figures but I liked that he came off the bench. One of the smartest things he had done all season. One could argue it was the only smart thing he did all season 😂.
Joseph Breda A- his three point shooting percentage cannot be ignored but outside of that he had a solid all-around performance.
Nick Lynch A I’ve seen him play better but he shot the three ball efficiently and still managed to have a well balanced game.
Jake Darby A played minimal minutes but still almost scored double figures, while getting decent rebounding numbers to go along with an assist.
Daniel Lyman A got his first start of the season and took complete advantage. In the second half he was kinda non-existent but he still played so well in the first half and his team win so I don’t see a reason why to give a lower grade.
Christopher Stull A shot well from three and had a solid rebounding game.
Charlie Maneval A high scorer for the game and shot great from three. He also managed to get some other stats.
Rob Lunder C+ didn’t really play the fire he had in the begging of the season. Literally was a walking triple double at one point and then he just wasn’t. I still think he played an ok game and the effort was there.
Patrick Blaikie “Fill-in” C+ only played one half and he didn’t take any threes but he still did get some stats. Maybe he was saving himself for pick-up.
BBR “Fill-in” B+ 18 pts 0-1 from three, 2-2 from the free throw line, 4 stls, 2 blks, 2 orebs, 10 drebs, 5 asts, 1 foul. He would’ve got an A grade if he showed up on time and if his team won probably an A+. He had 2 dunks (1 was a 7 out of 10 the other a 10 out of 10) overall he was pretty good. It will be very interesting next season when he plays.
Player of the game:
Djordje Vlajkovic had the most complete game on the winning team.

It’s not how you start but how you finish..
Coming into this game I had Too Small (TS) as 20 point favorites. To my surprise #KeepTheChange (#KTC) had their entire squad in attendance. TS was missing Lyman.
First half:
Slow ugly start to this game. To my surprise at the 9 minute mark #KTC was up 14-10. As the half continued the offense output just wasn’t great for both teams. Apparently this was working wonders for #KTC though as they led 24-17 at the half.
Halftime stats:
#KTC:
Tommy Ng 3 pts, 1 stl, 1 dreb
Cameron Daniels 2 pts, 1 stl, 2 drebs, 1 ast
Musse Kassa 4 pts, 1 stl, 2 drebs
Xavier “Stat” Holland 13 pts, 1 stl, 2 orebs, 2 drebs, 2 fouls
Jay Branch 1 stl, 1 blk, 1 dreb, 1 ast, 1 foul
Adam Gryniewicz 2 pts, 1 dreb
TS:
Djordje Vlajkovic 5 pts, 4 orebs, 7 drebs, 1 ast, 2 fouls
Dan Waldman 1 ast, 4 fouls
Joseph Breda 1 foul
Nick Lynch 12 pts, 1 blk, 2 oreb, 6 drebs
Jake Darby 1 ast, 1 foul
Player of the half:
Stat
Second half:
The action picked up some but #KTC was still not ready to give up their lead up 29-25 with 14 minutes left. Slightly less than 4 minutes later and it was a 1 possession game but TS took the lead and was up 33-31. Fast forward to 1:08 left in the game and TS was up 51-48 and it looked like the game would come down to free throw shooting. Jay Branch made an amazing steal and then hit a very tough corner three to tie the game. Unfortunately for him with the game tied at 51 he fouled. Yes Nick Lynch missed one of those free throws but #KTC was only able to score 1 more point while DJ ended them with a game winning steal and goaltending dunk (points didn’t count) but TS won 56-52.
Grades:
Tommy Ng C I can’t ignore his three point shooting percentage however he did get some other stats.
Cameron Daniels B- his three ball was off but I did like his improvement in scoring the basketball especially in the second half.
Musse Kassa B- I can’t ignore his three point shooting percentage but he did get some steals and rebounds.
Xavier “Stat” Holland B- his free throw shooting percentage was bad but outside of that he played a decent game.
Jay Branch B- great defensive stats across the board but his three point shooting percentage was low.
Adam Gryniewicz C+ his 2 steals and even his rebounding I liked but I can’t ignore the 0fer from three.
Djordje Vlajkovic A one of his best games of the season.
Dan Waldman C probably should’ve just fouled himself out because when he was on the bench Darby was electric. That’s actually what saved his grade is that he didn’t for himself back into the game.
Joseph Breda C+ played much better in the second half but this wasn’t his best game regardless. It was good to see his three point shooting woes in the first half were broken (0-4 vs 2-2) but ultimately it wasn’t his best game.
Nick Lynch A paved himself well and stuffed the stat sheet. He obviously can and will play better but I’m not mad at his performance at all.
Jake Darby A his stats obviously don’t jump off the website but man talk about taking advantage of your opportunity. When he got some minutes it seemed like he was making all the right plays.
Player of the game:
DJ they really had no answer for him and he took complete advantage of that. He’s have a really good season that continued today.

They did what they were supposed to but that wasn’t what impressed me…
Coming into this game I had Too Small (TS) as only a 10 point favorite. I originally thought Keith was in for 3 Dimensional (3D) but he ended up being out but his brother was somehow allowed to play in his place despite 3D having 4 rostered guys. TS had their entire team. Having this complete knowledge in hindsight I probably would’ve had TS as a favorite by more than 10 points.
First half:
When I say this game was super ugly to start that would be an understatement. At the 14 minute mark TS was up 10-11. To my surprise and everyone else watching in the gym (I think it was just Alan and I) the game was still close 18-17 with 10 minutes left in the half and TS up. While TS controlled that half up 29-23 this game looked far from over.
Halftime stats:
3D:
Andre Jones 2 pts, 1 stl, 1 blk, 1 oreb, 3 drebs, 1 ast, 1 foul
Andrew Marra 3 orebs, 2 drebs
Patrick Blaikie 1 stl, 1 foul
Erik Euler 13 pts, 1 stl, 3 orebs, 3 drebs
Craig Baranowski (fill-in) 10 pts, 1 stl, 3 drebs, 1 foul
TS:
Djordje Vlajkovic 5 pts, 5 orebs, 4 drebs, 3 asts, 1 foul
Dan Waldman 2 drebs, 1 ast, 1 foul
Joseph Breda 12 pts, 4 stls, 3 drebs, 2 fouls
Nick Lynch 12 pts, 2 orebs, 2 drebs , 1 ast
Jake Darby 1 dreb
Daniel Lyman 1 dreb
Player of the half:
Joseph Breda
Second half:
Although the game remained close and became a lot more entertaining TS never was in jeopardy of losing this game. With leads of 52-46 with 9:23 left and 62-51 with 5:34 left. TS went on to win 69-63.
Grades:
Andre Jones B I liked the game he played and he had a balanced game.
Andrew Marra C did get some stats but unfortunately for him he was unable to score. He played limited minutes though and still contributed.
Patrick Blaikie B+ he got hot from three and was one of the reasons the game remained close. The 2 stls were great along with the other steals.
Erik Euler A arguably was the best player on the floor and had lots of moments when he was simply unguardable. I hope this is a glimpse of more to come.
Craig Baranowski (fill-in) B+ 14 pts, 2-5 from three, 1 stl, 1 oreb, 6 drebs, 1 foul. The made threes were the biggest surprise but he played well.
Djordje Vlajkovic B a solid double double in a win.
Dan Waldman B he did miss a three but to his credit he only took one. He managed to get a bunch of stats and didn’t force anything.
Joseph Breda A I know he’s mad at me because he says he had at least one assist. Let me give you a vet secret. When you make the assist yell out or say assist so I know when it happens. Ultimately Joe had a solid game a put his team in a great position to win this game.
Nick Lynch A+ did everything in an efficient manner. With no one on the other side to really match up with him and he took full advantage of this.
Jake Darby C didn’t play much but did get a rebound.
Daniel Lyman C+ took maybe 2 total shots but still managed to get more rebounds then some other guys who played more minutes than him. I would definitely like to see him given more of an opportunity going forward.
Player of the game:
Nick Lynch again he was too good and played really well.

Too boring….
Coming into this game Too Small (TS) was missing not just their first, not just their second but also their third round pick. Golden Fleece (GF) only had 4 rostered guys in attendance but graciously approved Angelo to fill-in. I probably would’ve had GF as a slight favorite in this game. Angelo was the best player for TS and Casey for GF. However with the other 3 guys GF had a pretty significant advantage.
First half:
Angelo I mean TS did their best to keep this game competitive as they trailed 22-14 with 6:47 left in the half. As the half continued TS battled but the GF lead ballooned to 38-25.
Halftime stats:
TS:
Dan Waldman 5 pts, 1 blk, 2 drebs, 2 asts
Jake Darby 2 pts, 1 stl, 1 blk, 1 oreb, 2 drebs
Daniel Lyman 3 pts, 1 stl, 1 oreb, 3 drebs, 1 ast
Angelo Cerbone “fill-in” 15 pts, 2 stls, 1 oreb, 3 drebs, 1 ast
GF:
Jorge Morel 4 pts, 2 stls, 1 blk, 6 orebs, 4 drebs, 3 asts
Casey Tenney 24 pts, 4 orebs, 10 drebs
Cameron Daniel 2 pts, 1 stl, 1 ast
Colin Gray 10 pts, 1 oreb, 1 ast
Player of the half:
Casey Tenney
Second half:
GF made sure the game was never in doubt so I have nothing further so say other than GF went on to win 76-56.
Player Grades:
Dan Waldman B- he did score in double figures inefficiently. It was good he got some other stats because that somewhat saved his grade.
Jake Darby B- the 0fer from three can’t be ignored be he did stuff that stat sheet albeit during a loss.
Daniel Lyman B shot well from the free throw line and managed to get some other stats.
Angelo Cerbone “fill-in” A- it’s a shame his stats don’t count 29 pts, 5-7 from three, 0-2 from the free throw line, 4 stls, 1 blk, 2 orebs, 7 drebs, 2 asts. Aside from losing and the 0fer from the free throw line he played great.
Jorge Morel A a complete game.
Casey Tenney A did whatever he wanted out there.
Cameron Daniel B three ball was off but led his team in stls to go along with other stats.
Colin Gray B would’ve liked to see his first half play continue into the second but it wasn’t needed and he still played well.
Player of the game:
Casey Tenney they really couldn’t stop him and he dominated the game.
