Playoff action between veteran Ruff and proven champion DTO was set to be a battle. JB made his return to SDL from Peru but that didn't stop DTO from selecting Ruffskies for their first round matchup. It was clear from the jump that Tenney was going to push the pace and put the Reuffskies in pick and roll action with DJ. DTO was getting driving the ball well and making tough angles shots which led to an early big lead by Bully. DJ was husling and gettign O boards and second shot opportunities for Bully Ball and this led to a couple Casey threes which dug Ruffskies into a 15 point deficit at half. Connor connor was stuggling from deep with only one first half three and Ruff did not look like himself stilll recovering from illess and had to even sub out a bit to catch his wind. JB wasn't as agressive as I thought he should be and this was lookign liek a blowout. Second half pace would slow down a but and Bully kind of took their foot off the gas. Connor knowcked down 2 threes in the second half and JB started gettign more agressive and they were able to make a little tun to cut the lead to single digits at the end but it was too much Bully ball for Ruffskies and Dre. I thought Dre played good defense when he was in but the dynamic offense and pace of Tenney and squad proved to be too much for the last seeded Ruffskies.

Our last game of the day was another closer one with Locked Up beating the Ruffkies and Dre by a score of 58-46. This one remained close throughout until Locked Up stepped up down the stretch moving the ball efficiently to put the Ruffkies away. Definitely some good shooting from them as well making it tough to cover the many shooters. The Ruffkies kept it close though, I think with the right game plan they could definitely be right there with these guys.
For Locked Up they were led by Jorge M who had 18 pts and 16 boards and it felt like this guy was everywhere with some great cutting to go with some great instincts rebounding the ball. He was joined by Michael S who finished with 17 pts 6 boards 3 asts on 5/8 from deep. Very efficient from him making the right play more often than not leading to easy buckets. Additional shoutouts to Nick M with an all around 11 pts 8 asts 6 boards and Lou S with 12 pts 8 boards.
For the Ruffkies though they lost they had some nice performances in this one starting with Connor C finishing with a game high 28 pts 4 boards. He was joined by Ruff who finished with 12 pts 6 boards on a couple three balls. Additional shoutout to Andre J who had an absolute monster block to go with a game high 4 steals. He was defensively locked in helping to keep this game close for the majority of the game. Looking to see these guys get some guys back and go strong to the playoffs.

In a bizarre twist of events at the ultimate showdown between the MonStarrs and the quirky duo The Ruffkies & Dre, the MonStarrs emerged victorious with a razor-thin 1-0 win. The game was as intense as a squirrel trying to steal a nut from a determined chipmunk - fast-paced and full of unexpected turns. The MonStarrs, with their eccentric tactics and unorthodox strategies, managed to outwit their opponents in a spectacle that left fans scratching their heads in disbelief.
