A starting 2-point lead to enter the game proved to be more than enough for The Lab to secure the win, 58-50.

With the 2 points due to Last Chance U not having jerseys, The Lab followed that up with a 13-0 run to start the game off on a high note. Nikko Atanasoff of LCU finally scores a bucket after 7 minutes of play have gone by, opening the game up to go TL’s way. To respond, LCU goes on a 1-11 run making it a 5-point game with 11 minutes left in the half. First half score, 27-18.

The second half started with a drought of TL’s own not being able to score for 6 minutes of the second half. Atanasoff passes between the legs to Wadda Salah Eldin to make it a 3-point game, 30-27. Unfortunately, the effort came short as The Lab ended up on top tonight punching their tickets to the playoff and sending LCU home for the season.

Game has started but we might want to tell the teams playing that it’s ok to score sometimes as that’s how to win the game. Granted the gym is very cold tonight so it might take a while to get warmed up. Ten minutes into the game and The Lab can only muster 2 points leading to a time out now down by 13. They are getting killed on the boards and can’t make a layup or any three’s they attempt. If turnover counted as points, they would be leading this one hand’s down.  We are really getting into Shaq and a fool territory with The Lab still only having one bucket and the first half only has six minutes left. That ends when Travis makes and1 and the fun thing is they are not out of the game because Gino Time is having a hard time scoring as well. The air is getting polluted with The Lab not just stinking up the game but the bench too as Cam and Matt laugh at who just farted while on the bench WTF!! After getting his third foul Cam wraps up Ross trying to weave his way to the basket, but he was mugged. Matt holds on to dear life to Gui and receives intentional foul for his troubles.  Time is running out for The Lab down by fifteen points and less than two minutes left in the game. This one is over and Gino Time could not overcome the first half disaster.

The first OT in a while ended with The Lab on top of SAUS, 49-54.

The game was close through and through. A 1 point difference at the half previewed a closer second half. A big block by Matt McKinley on Chin Kuo’s shot but Kuo immediately got the ball back and connected with the bucket, 36-41. Toth came in clutch with a DEEP triple with 1:30 left in the game to tie it up at 46. A 3-8 scoring run over OT gave The Lab the win.

From the start of this one neither team could put the ball in from deep but Colin would keep Lab in the game getting offensive possession. Lab was leading most of the first half until Pat D. and Kent got hot. Mike made some key three’s to open the game up for Lab who would take a twenty point lead after halftime. This wasn’t Travis’s night as he couldn’t make a three (with exception of one hit in closing seconds) Alex was a beast on the boards all night cleaning up what looked like all misses from Corner Three. The Lab couldn’t catch up after being down so many points and the defense was no where to be found the loss was all but certain.
