Going into the semifinals Fast PP, 1st seed, versus Wolf & Co who are the 5th seed. A lot at stake for both teams as they both obviously want to win. Starting off the game, Wolf & Co won the tip and Victor immediately looked to score trying a mid-range pull up but couldn’t fall. Watching both teams play, you could really feel the intensity in the gym, everyone wanted to win and everyone was playing great defense. Wolf & Co was the first to call a timeout with 9 minutes and 44 seconds left on the clock. Fast PP came out of the timeout on a different team. They went on a 10-1 run in 7 minutes. Alex on Fast PP played a very impressive first half hitting 3 3-pointers. However, Victor was determined and closed the lead going into the 2nd half at 13-18 (Fast PP leading). 

In the 2nd half, Wolf & Co came out ever better, they went on an 8-0 run in 5 minutes. Noticeably Victor and Austen, they had a great chemistry of playing together, trapping, getting steals, deflections, and overall moving the ball around. Fast PP were struggling to hit shots in the 2nd half and started getting into foul trouble. They struggled on getting an offense going and getting passes inside the paint. Wolf & Co definitely had a lot more big men than Fast PP so it was tougher to get some offensive rebounds for Fast PP. Although it may be considered a low scoring game, it definitely was entertaining to watch as both teams played their hardest. Fast PP played great all season, but unfortunately fell short in the playoffs. A huge upset win for Wolf & Co. 

Fast PP:

Zack: 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists. 

Alex: 9 points & 6 rebounds. 

Wolf & Co

Austen: 6 points, season high 17 rebounds, 11 rebounds in the 1st half. Austen absolutely dominated on the boards.

Victor: Season High 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals. Everytime Victor got the ball he looked to score, but also played very good defense, shifting his feet, and not hacking.

With the second game of the night Wolf and Co versus Chop Wood. We had Marc just finishing the regular season averaging 19.4 points and 9.6 rebounds over the span of 5 games, and Griffin on Wolf & Co averaging 10.3 points and 10 rebounds over 9 games. I knew Marc going into this game would be driving in and drawing fouls to go to the free-throw line, and that he did. He shot 8 free-throws but unfortunately was not able to capitalize on it, however his ability to draw fouls is impressive. However, Wolf & Co seemed to figure it out and actually drew 2 charges. 

Wolf & Co started the game off hot, going on a 10-0 run in the first 4 minutes of the game. Victor on Wolf & Co started with a step-back 3 on the very first possession of the game and that gave the team momentum. However, Marc was able to bring the team back to single a single possession game at the end of the first half 18-21 Wolf & Co leading. 

With not enough guys to sub out Chop Wood started to slow down in the 2nd half and Wolf & Co took advantage of that. They pushed the ball down the court every chance they got, not letting Chop Wood set up on defense. Wolf & Co were moving the ball around very well. Wolf & Co went on a run and didn’t stop, Cooper had some tough layups in the late game. They have so many players on the team, it really doesn’t allow enough time for some players to shine. Nonetheless, everyone on Wolf & Co played very well which allowed them to take the win over Chop wood. 

Chop Wood:

Marc N 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. 

Wolf & Co:

Griffin 9 points and 5 rebounds. 

Victor  7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. 

Dylan 10 points.

Big Ballers Versus Wolf and Co. Last week before playoffs. Big Ballers LLC setting the pace right from the start. With an impressive 21-4 run within the first 11 minutes of the game, they showcased exceptional teamwork, swift transitions, and solid defense. Meanwhile, Wolf and Co struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Griffin was struggling to get hit shots to fall, I told him if he could try getting mismatches during the game, he’d be able to drive in because of his height and size, it could potentially bring the game back. 

Daniel on Big Ballers LLC came off the bench and scored 7 points in a row,extending their lead further. As the first half concluded, Big Ballers LLC held a commanding 32-8 lead, leaving Wolf and Co trailing behind. Although Wolf and Co managed to find their footing in the second half, putting up 28 points, Big Ballers LLC maintained their momentum, relentlessly extending their lead with another 33 points. The game ended with a blowout 65-35 victory for Big Ballers LLC.

Griffin on Wolf and Co had 11 points, 6 blocks, and 11 rebounds. On Big ballers LLC Nate had 18 points,12 rebounds, 6 steals, and 6 assists. Daniel had 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 3-pointers off the bench. And Will had 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists. A huge game for Will tonight. 

With the second game of the night Wolf and Co versus Consigli. This was an insane game to watch. At first Consigli went on a 14-2 run in the first 10 minutes of the game. Nick on Consigli started the game off strong, driving to the basket and going to the line. He went to the line twice within the first 5 minutes of the game, going 4 for 4 to start. I thought this was going to be a blowout because they weren’t able to stop Nick from driving in. However,  Wolf and Co slowly made a comeback within the first half. Griffin on Wolf and Co hit a buzzer beater at the end of the 1st half to make the score 20-18 with Consigli leading. 

Both teams in the second half came out wanting to win. Austin was very vocal, keeping his team together, trying slow things when needed. The game was very close the entire 2nd half, but Consigli held the lead all game long. The last 2 minutes of the 2nd half was intense. Wolf and Co were down 5 with 1 minute and 30 seconds remaining, Zaimi on Consigli hit a 3-pointer and brought the lead to 8, and at that point I thought it was over. But Griffin answered right back with a 3-pointer of his own. With time running down, things were definitely getting intense. Wolf and Co now had the start fouling. The score was 44-38 and Griffin hit another 3-pointer to bring it to 44-41 and back to a 1 possession game. Wolf and Co had to foul again and Zaimi went to the line and made both free throws bringing the lead back up to 5. 46-41 And then Clay on Wolf and Co hit a clutch 3-pointer bringing the score to 46-44. Wolf and Co had to again foul and Zaimi made the first free throw, and missed the second one. Wolf and Co got the rebound, passed it down court to Dylan, Dylan shot the 3 pointer and sent the game to overtime. In overtime, Wolf and Co had so many 2nd chance opportunities to win, but everyone kept missing the 3-pointers. Austin got 5 offensive rebounds back to back. With 3 seconds on the clock Austin on Wolf and Co drew up a play for Griffin to shoot the game winning shot, but fell just short. With the total score of 51-50 Consigli took the win. 

Griffin on Wolf and Co ended the game with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 3-pointers. Austin finished the game with 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 16 rebounds. And Dyaln finished with 12 points, 3 3-pointers and a game tying 3 pointer.  Nick on Consigli finished the game with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assist and 3 steals, and his teammate Nick Ryan finished with 19 points, 4 steals, and 12 rebounds.
