Tempers are flaring as Nick is complaining to Todd about a call he didn’t make it and it was all Nick needed to get himself going as he hit his next shot for three.  It’s the playoffs and we still have players showing up in wife beaters and pink shorts questioning why his team is loosing points and the game has not started. Tony is on a tear tonight after putting the moves on Nick and hitting the three he get’s his jersey grabbed in a attempt to slow him down on the next play by Nate. Nick is leading his team in points and Tony is doing the same as they battle back and forth from downtown. Jesse and Trevor joint the three point contest and now have a four point lead forcing Leonard and the boys to call time out. Luke is finding himself in the right place at the right time to get easy layups after Jesse and Jack find him in the post. After the game being close all night Clever Trevor starts to pull away with Luke and Tony doing cleanup duty to help take the win over Leonard and the Boys.

Game 1 of the evening featured the TAP All stars vs Leonard and the boys.  Leonard and the boys got off to a hot start behind the leadership of guard Nick Rosetti who was able to control the pace of the game and was a threat from just about every spot on the floor - hitting a couple jumpers and threes as well as getting to the rim. Behind Rosetti’s scoring punch, “The boys” took a 10 point lead with 13 minutes left in the first half, leading 17-7 as they took their first time out.

The TAP All Stars would not go away easily, however, even as they were missing many key players and lacking their usual depth. Jason Marino continued his stellar play, doing it all for the All Stars, and David Lorden picked up where he left off last week, becoming a scoring threat and active player on both sides of the ball (finishing with 12 points). Three pointers from Gary Lorden and Tom Marucci helped and the All Stars got as close as 1 point down in the first half with a big scoring run. This would be the closest they would get. By halftime, the lead was back to 6, with Leonard and the Boys leading 33-27.

In the 2nd half, Leonard and the boys picked up contributions from just about every player on the roster, with George Penniman absolutely controlling the paint and fellow big man Sean Concannon knocking down 4 three pointers. Halfway into the 2nd half, they had increased their lead to 12 points, leading 53-41.

The TAP All Stars kept within a fighting distance as Jason Marino continued to score, rebound, and do it all, finishing with 23 points. David Lorden sustained a minor injury with 6 minutes left in the game as they were making a final push, still down 11 points at this point, and with that, any chance of coming back seemed to be dead. The game would finish 64-47 final - win for Leonard and the boys.

Game 4 of this week’s edition of Wednesday Night Hoops with the CAC featured “Treys for Days” vs “Leonard and the Boys” in a compelling nightcap matchup. George Thissel of Treys for Days put his stamp on this game from the jump, showing his dominant presence in the paint and his skillful ways from the high post as some of the guards on Treys For Days were still trying to get in a rhythm early in the game. He would finish with a team high 18 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin McGovern was his main scoring sideback in the first half, knocking down an early three pointer and helping Treys for Days get out to a 26-20 lead with 3 minutes left in the first half as Leonard and the boys took their first time out.

Leonard and the Boys took each early punch on the chin, continuing to stay within 10 points for the entirety of the first half, and for the most part, maintaining a distance of 4-6 points throughout the first. Early on in the game, most of the scoring and distribution punch came from Nick Rosetti as he knocked down 2 three pointers and dished out 5 assists, constantly finding the ball in his hands and making the right play. While Tim Nikolaev started out the game a bit cold from 3, he was the heart and soul of the team throughout the game, grabbing every loose ball and rebound, and eventually becoming a major scoring threat in the 2nd half, finishing with 11 points.

At the half, Treys for Days held onto an 8 point lead, a lead they would basically maintain for the rest of the game as the closest Leonard and the Boys got was down 40-36 after being down 13 early in the 2nd half. George Penniman and Sean Concannon came alive and led the team along with Rosetti in a spirited run to close the gap to 4, but alas, this was as close as they would get.

In the 2nd half, Treys for Days' incredibly skilled and multi-faceted guards would ratchet up their play to support Thissel both offensively and defensively. Dana Flood flooded the stat sheet after a quiet first half, scoring a smooth 13 points, garnering 5 steals with his pesky defense, and clearing the boards with 7 rebounds on the night - becoming a much needed swiss army knife for Treys. Luke Davidson also picked up his scoring in the 2nd half, finishing with 10 points and 2 three pointers helping Treys for Days maintain their comfortable lead deep into the 2nd half and pushing things back up to a 10 point game. The game would finish with the 10 point margin, 61-51 Final
