Opening the Over 30 Legends playoffs was the matchup between the 2 seed Everything Zeng taking on 7 seed Tortured Paisanos. Despite having a talented roster, Frongi’s team lost several close games by 3 or less points on their way to a 2-7 record. However, having league OPY Casey Tenney would make them a dangerous team come playoff time. Randall’s EZ has looked solid throughout the season led by Weinstein and Murphy. Both teams had everyone present for the tip.
Paisanos started things off furiously out of the gate as Casey scored off a miss and then cashed three consecutive threes to give Paisanos a very quick 11-2 lead. Hammond hit a three for EZ to put a stop to the run and EZ gradually started clawing back with Weinstein scoring on midrange jumpers and hitting a three. Casey and Bohnaker kept the pressure on with more threes, Casey being 4-4 from deep at this point. Casey even got fouled on a deep three point attempt that still went in, and he really could not miss. Despite this, EZ kept the deficit under 10 points and was very much still in the game. Hammond hit another three for EZ and Casey finally missed a three after starting the game going 6-6 from range. Murphy finally got his first bucket for EZ and hit a pair of free throws but EZ went into the half down by 9. Casey led Paisanos with a wild 27 first half points, and Weinstein had 13 for EZ.
[9:47 AM]
Casey picked up where he left off by establishing a one man 7 point run to kick off the second half. Weinstein responded with 5 of his own and Chao hit a big time three for Paisanos. Murphy had a pair of post buckets, but the Paisanos lead remained at 11. Frongi and Casey had 8 straight points for Paisanos and the lead increased to 14 with 10 minutes left. Bohnaker had to come out of the game at this point with a leg injury but was able to return. Luigi had a great steal and dime and Luigi’s defense and passing is always impressive for a big man. The Paisanos lead would never drop below 10 points and they would walk away with the victory looking like a very dangerous contender, they will match up with Chas’ Goyle in the 2nd round.

EZ VS Hell " 2nd half is WEIN time!!
Danner passed up a shot got it back nailed J 2-0. Butter 1-2, EJ nice hook 3-2. Hammond splashes 3, Kap 3 right back at him, Wein J, Kindal post, Murphy hook teams trading punches early. After some action a beautiful up n under by Hammond gave them the edge 13-8. Kap 3, EJ 3 after great hustle from Skelley they had the lead 14-13. Murphy gets 2 through contact, wein Middy 17-14. lead would stay to 4, but at the Buzzer Kindal took a tough contested 3 and it was $$ 27-25 at the break
Kap up n under of his own ties things at 27. Wein open 3 was good, murphy TD pass to Wein 32-27. Hell with nice run as Kindal was getting to the rack made it 32-31., but wein with another 3 ball. Skelley sets his feet lets a 3 go and it was goooooooooooooodddddddddddd 35-34. murphy beasts two more, Wein 2-2, but Butter, and Kap add bigtime and 1's for the lead 40-39. Wein finds his spot and it was $, Muphy 2-2, Randal 3 and that broke their backs as they were not able to recover from the run EZ wins 54-45.

Game two of week 8 was the 3-4 Goyle taking on 5-2 Everything Zeng. Losers of their previous two games, Goyle needed a win to avoid badly and would have a challenge as EZ was coming into the game on a two game win streak. Goyle fans were excited for the return of Kodra who had missed the previous 2 games. Both teams were fully staffed and ready for action.
Murphy started off the scoring with a hoop and a foul but couldn’t convert the free. EZ was not covering Jake, who hit back to back threes. Goyle then went on a run as Kodra led the way with a pair of threes and a bucket. After this run Goyle had established an 11 point lead. EZ would cut the lead to 7 with a Murphy and-1 and some Zeng free throws but Goyle would throw another punch to close out the half. Chas was playing great defense on Weinstein, who was limited to 4 first half points. Matty had a series of buckets late in the half and Goyle went into the half up 13.
Coming out of the break Clarke and Chas had buckets for Goyle. Weinstein had a nice steal which led to a fast break layup, but it was all Goyle for the beginning of the second half. EZ kept fighting, Weinstein hit a three and Murphy also cashed one from deep. Randall got a nice bucket at the rim to cut the lead to 10. Murphy went on a big run at this point, getting buckets in the post and hitting two more threes on his way to 17 second half points. Murphy was even fouled on a three point make but was unable to convert the 4 point play at the line. Goyle’s atrocious free throw shooting (5-17 on the game) was a factor in allowing EZ to get back in the game. Chas might want to have his boys work on that during the week. Despite this, Goyle would hang on to win 59-55.
Goyle
Chas A great defense and vocal leadership
Jake A huge impact on the defensive end in addition to usual offensive production
Kodra A big 16/10/5 with 4 stocks in his return, he makes this team dangerous
Ben B- hustle was there but needs to cut down on turnovers
TC C rather quiet in his return to the bench
Matty B+ solid game, assists were huge
Everything Zeng
Randall C average game
Weinstein C- came alive in the 2nd half but they needed more from him
Murphy A excellent performance, would be an A+ if he hit his free throws
Danner D not much of an impact
Hammond D see above
Zeng C had a nice stretch off the bench

Dadbods VS EZ " EZ tur clutch play into win"
Glynn got us going with a nice 3, Muprhy 1-2 3-1. Wein j ties it at 3. Hammond cut, Frano floater 5-5. Dias trey, Wein baseline J 8-7. Hammond middy, Frano Middy, Wein 3 makes it 12-10. Kielley cut and 1. Back and forth we went, in this highly competitive game score would never get further than 4 as the margin for error was razor thin. Kielley was ballign keeping Dad's in the game as he splashed a 3 it was 29-29. Glynn and Dias would make some clutch plays and they had they edge 37-34 half time.
Wein cut, Zeng 1-2 all tied up again 37.Dias midrange, Wein and 1 these teams just keep battling! Danner would give his squad some space with a nice take 56-53, but here comes Keilley and the dadbods again, as he would convert to layups and the lead was 57-56 for the Dadbods. Murphy 1-2, Wein spin shot, Glynn with spin shot of his own all tied again. Wein big clutch J, and then Muprhy was $ from the line to barley put this thing away 7--65.
Dadbods
Glynn-B- Active and effective, his best game yet.
Frano-B+- 7 obrds us insane, I want him to shoot more!
Dias-B-) Great 1st half lost his legs down the stretch
Killey-A- Man on a mission, did everything except get the win.
EZ
Weinstein-A- When your in the clutch just give him the ball.
Murphy-B- Bounced back in the 2nd half made some great winning plays
Randal-C+- Good passing, he can do more though

Closing out week 6 Harry’s bottom of the barrel D-Graded took on Randall’s Everything Zen, who entered the week at 3-2. Harry was missing his bench in Eloi and Amir and Randall had everyone available.
Starting things off Danner channeled his inner Sam Hauser and cashed a three ball which was followed by Weinstein getting a jumper and Murphy converting a big and-1 finish around the rim. Jeffries stepped up for D-Graded for 5 straight points. I liked what I was seeing from MJ as he was looking assertive on offense and looking to beat guys off the dribble. EZ held on to a lead throughout most of the half, Scottie had two threes and Zeng hit a nice runner. Danny looked to himself to close the gap for D-Graded and scored 9 straight points late in the half, cutting the lead to two, but a late three from Hammond put EZ up by 5 heading into the half.
Coming out of the half, both teams traded buckets consistently, notably led by MJ for D-Graded and Weinstein for EZ. Danny went on another mini-run and scored another 6 straight points and tied the game at 45 with 12 minutes remaining. Both teams continued to throw punches late in the half, Murphy had a few nice finishes for EZ and Worth his a three. Late in the game MJ had a clutch series when he got to the free throw line and hit a big three with two minutes left to cut the deficit to 3. After the two minute warning, neither team could get a bucket and EZ would miss three consecutive 1 and 1 free throws to fail to put the game away. However, their great defense on the other end prevented D-Graded from taking advantage and EZ hung on to win 59-56. D-Graded remains winless and EZ improves to 4-2.
D-Graded
Harry D pretty poor showing from Da Point Gawd, who went scoreless with only 1 assist
Worth C Alex hit a few big shots but I think he should get more looks
MJ A liked what I saw from Jeffries, who was playing aggressively and hit clutch shots
DoD A went cold at times, but also had stretches where he dominated. Great defensively with 3 steals and notched double digit rebounds.
Everything Zen
Randall C- unremarkable game from the captain
Danner B+ hit a few big shots
Murphy B+ overall a good game, but could be better from the free throw line
Scott B not a lot of production on the offensive end, but has his usual great defense
Zeng B love a little Jimmy magic
Weinstein A consistent scoring and shot efficiently
