Horton’s Heavers Outlast Quality Shots in Tight Matchup

In a game that started slow but heated up quickly, Hortins edged out Quality with a 64-56 victory.

Midway through the first half, Hortons held a slim 12-11 lead. Kevin then nailed a three-pointer, tying the game at 16. This sparked a shootout between him and Brian, with both trading threes. By halftime, Hortins led 27-24.

Quality Shots struggled at the start of the second half but rallied, closing the gap to 42-41 with nine minutes left. In a strategic move, they resorted to the “Hack-a-Shaq” tactic on Sean down low, hoping to exploit his free-throw shooting. However, Sean remained composed at the line, missing quite a few but hitting the most important ones, spoiling their strategy and helping the Heavers seal the win.

Key Performances:

Hortons Heavers: Brian: 20 points, including six three-pointers, Sean (15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks), and Eli (13 points).

Quality Shots: Kevin (18 points, 6 rebounds), Rich: 13 points, 10 rebounds, and Alex (10 points, 3 steals)

You Got Tibbs is the best team name in the league and this is the first time I’m seeing them play so, hopefully they are good. Edom is killing Quality shots on the board given his team extra possesses and it might just be the difference in a win or a loss. It’s clear that You got Tibbs don’t really know each other well because they don’t trust one another to do shit. The first half is almost over and they have zero assist but continue to hoist up three’s. This is a loosing battle for them and I already know it’s not going to end well at all if your You Got Tibbs. The game has become a clown show once you see Rich leaking back to get cherry picked points and the other team asking themselves who is guarding him? Three minutes into the second half and You Got Tibbs looks defeated already looking at each other like what are we going to do now? They are content with chucking up three’s and hitting absolutely nothing. Edoi is hawking the table making sure every assist is logged for him but his focus should be on making a three going zero for four for the game. This is a blow out as You Got Tibbs is not on Quality Shots level and got smoked so the ref called the game with three minutes left.

Comfortable win for the Quality Shots, especially considering that they were without Alex and Corey, while Kevin showed up at halftime (still dropped 23). They get yet another win as they look unbeatable right now. Rich led the way until Kevin showed up at halftime and then they were too much to handle. The Vrabels were missing their key big man in Brady, but Preston did his best to hold down the fort, finishing with 34 points. Quality Shots win 83-61.

A highly anticipated matchup to cap off the night. Probably two of the best teams in the league faced off and both teams had all their offensive weapons on display. The game wasn't as close as I had hoped for, but it was still a great game and very competitve. Quality shots took control early and held on the rest of the way. Cote's crew got going a little too late, but I would be shocked if we don't see this matchup again. Kevin led the way with 28 points for the Quality shots as they got a much deserved win and keep their strong season going.

Although the Heaver's jumped out to an 11-2 lead early on, thanks to Brian's firescorching three ball, it was all Quality Shots in this one. They did, in fact, get many quality shots tonight due to the team notching 20 total assists. The ball was moving and the shots were falling. A dominant display as Rich and Kevin led the way in terms of points. Kevin only really played a half since he was so late to the game. Not much to report here, Quality shots continued to play how they have lately and earned a much deserved win here. It was sad to see the Heaver's without their star, Eli, but even with him, im not sure they would have won tonight. Final Score 68 - 55 for the Quality Shots.
