It’s playoff time and it’s win or go home and there is definitely no crying to the refs. about blown calls. This time in the season we all should know there will be a couple of calls missed. Rim Ticklers open up with a twelve to four run behind a quick start from Garrett’s eight points. After a couple more blown possessions for Clever Trevor they had seen enough so time out was called. This must have woke up Tony because he would go on a nice shooting spree from downtown that had Rim Ticklers entire team scratching their heads. Even Paul hit a three and he usually never shoots from that range, electing to do most of his damage in the post or mid-range. If Rim Ticklers are going to be competitive they will need a lot of point production from Drew and something from Jeff or Dainis who seem to be missing in most games lately. Later in the game Jeff has seen a couple go down from deep and this is desperately needed and should help him get his groove back because Ticklers are falling behind now because Tony has picked up where he left off in the first half. Jason is letting it fly and seems unconscious from deep knocking down four helping his team maintain the lead. Paul muscles Dainis and gets the and1 called against him pushing the lead to ten and this forces a time out called from Rim Ticklers. This wouldn’t matter much though as they let Tony (30 points) and Jason (22 points) do them in going down 68 to 57

Last game of the night and Derek opens his first possession with a travel called on him that he doesn’t like. Matt of NNHS has a hot start knocking in his first 3 three’s and making some tough layups. Yancy misses a wide open three, but Garrett cleans up his miss and puts it back in. Next offensive possession for Rim Ticklers Yancy would get an offensive board and layup of his own to help close the gap created by a hot start from Matt. Airball miss by Jackson sees Deven gets an easy put back that leads to a time out by the Rim Ticklers. After the time out NNHS ran a play for Matt to get a wide open three, but Brian and Drew have seen enough so they send the double team leaving Jackson open for his fist three of the night. Great dive to the lane for Brian gets a nice pass from Garrett for an easy deuce and this leads to a rematch on defense called by Spencer. Dainis turns the ball over but on the next play decided to do it himself and comes down and hits a three. With four seconds left, Spencer goes the length of the court and makes a tough three point shot that The Rim Ticklers swear was a two and I happen to agree with them but I’m not a ref. After some deliberation it was decided that it was a two and not three so some of the shine comes off of it but still a great play. My guess is that didn’t sit very well with NNHS because they came out in the second half and nailed back-to-back threes pushing their lead to fourteen. Derek gets nice feed into the post shows off his post moves and looks like Kevin McHale in the process. Rim Ticklers get into foul trouble early will be sending NNHS to the foul line for the remainder of the game and there are ten minutes still left in this one. Garrett gets a huge block on Spencer trying to drive to the lane sending the ball to the stage. Garrett finds Brian in the corner for a knock down three and bring them to within five points but it’s only four minutes left in the game and they need more stops. One minute left and up by six NNHS has to only make some free throws to close the game out and they have no problem doing so.

The Bears were only able to field four guys but they are the ones with the quick start to the game scoring the first five points before Rim ticklers could get on the board. They see Freddie and another fill in show up five minutes into the game so they call time out to get them in. Jeff is giving Mike the business in the post pushing him all in his back which causes Mike to cause him to complain to the refs but they are not listening. Freddie never seen I shot he didn’t like tosses up two threes before he broke a sweat. Freddie next four shots would be good thou with two of them being three pointers. This woke up Rim Ticklers and Garrett went on a scoring spree stealing the ball and making tough layups with one of them being and1. Garrett fouls Freddie shooting a three and he is pissed thinking it wasn’t enough to warrant a foul called. Garrett is way too big for this team and he owns his space in the post so no one is going to stop him once he gets this position. Mike M. grabs Yancy out of the air and wins a intentional foul call sending Yancy to the line. Down by twelve points The Bears call time out to regroup but don’t think it will help much Freddie has gone cold and don’t see anyone else stepping up to make buckets. Just as I think this one is over The Rim Ticklers self-destruct with their turnovers and The Bears now see themselves down by only one point forcing a time out to try to figure out whats going on. Two huge buckets from Yancy late gives The Ticklers a little breathing room but not long as Freddie nails mid-range. Danny nails two threes and ties the game with the last one sending the game into overtime. Great game that ended in one of the worst turnovers of the season by Ted passing the ball to Drew on the inbounds down by three points and 1.3 seconds left.
