Well... even though Derrick showed up at 6pm for a 9pm game out of excitement and love for the game, Conway falls to the FOUR MAN Chupacabres 63-59. I was so sure this was going to be the night for Conway... but I found myself congratulating the shorthanded Chupacabres instead. They were led by superstar JP Barrett who dropped 30 pts and 15 rebs to lead the way for his team. He couldn't be stopped and the addition of 16 Jack Spillane points and some clutch free throw shooting got the job done. For Conway, it was refreshing to hear that every team makes the playoffs (I think?) - so maybe they are saving their best for then.....

Chups took on the Market Baskets in the first game of the night and the difference in this game was the fast start that the Chups had from 3. They couldn't miss in the first half and raced out to a 37-26 halftime lead. JP, who is a stud, led the team, hitting 3 first half threes and dishing out a few assists to get his teammates going. Quinn finished 4 for 5 from three and Jack, Charlie, and Logan all added a three each. The team was moving the ball really well and playing very unselfish, and fast paced offense. That halftime lead was important becuase once the Walko brothers (gotta be brothers, right?) got going, it became a game. Ethan was on fire, scoring 27 points and hitting 5 threes to keep the market baskets in the game. Maybe if Doug had his usual shot falling, this game could have gone either way. Doug played well, but couldn't hit any of the shots he usually hits. Dylan Carberry gave his usual effort and is now on a three game streak of taking charges. You have to respect it. Chups held on to their lead and although it got close at times, they never let it slip. They get the win 68-58. Good spirits for this game, fun game to work.

The last game of the night, and of a long week. This of course flirted with overtime! That is just how the final games tend to go, can't write it any better. Final score was 48-46 with Corner 3 taking home the victory. They were led by the veteran, Pat, who had 17 points, along with three clutch free throws down the stretch. This guy always comes to ball. Big man Aidan was a monster on the boards nad had the ugliest impersonation of Lonzo Ball's jumpshot, but you should have seen my face when he splashed back to back threes with no hesitation. Electric stuff. Graham added 5 steals to the tally that ended up being crucial turnovers for the Chupacabras. Chupacabres were mising arguably their best two players in JP and Shae. They still put up a great effort and almost won this game. Its a big win for Corner 3 and a game that the Chupacabras will look back on as one they could have won. Nevertheless, this was a great game for the neatrals to cap off a great night of ball.

We had a thriller between the TAP Allstars and the Chupacabras in this one. Chupacabras came out hot and looked to be on their game. The two man show of Shea and JP was looking strong. The two big men were splashing threes all game. Although the Chupacabra's had the lead almost all game, the TAP All stars knew if they kept it close they could pull off the win. Thats exactly what they did. The Allstars relied on their automatic offense that consisted of Steve assisted the big man Nick. This was too reliable for them, everytime they needed a cluch basket, those two would combine to give the All stars a break. Big impact from Chen, Justin, and two big threes from Tom got them over the line in the end. The question stands, who will stop these guys from walking to the championship?
